Center-Console Remote-Control Rack
Two-file custom rack system made to fit the center-console ashtray opening in an SLC 180. The author description explicitly identifies the R172 ashtray and provides a fitted remote-control rack plus a starter frame that can be extended for other small controls. Source fitment is limited to the SLC 180 facelift variant; no pre-facelift SLK fitment is claimed. Use a cabin-temperature-capable material, verify the insert is fully seated, keep controls and loose objects clear of the selector and roof controls, and remove the rack if it can move or obstruct driving controls.

Trunk Cargo Lashing Ring
Single-piece cargo lashing ring designed for the roadster trunk and fixed beneath an existing trunk screw. The creator explicitly identifies R172 fitment and shows the ring installed. It is only for restraining small, light items while driving; the creator states that it is not made for high forces. Do not use it for heavy cargo, occupant restraint, recovery, lifting, towing, or any safety-critical load. Confirm that the original fastener retains full thread engagement, keep the ring clear of roof and trunk mechanisms, and remove it if the print cracks, loosens, or deforms.
Fuel-Cap Retaining Tether
Three-part retaining tether for the fuel cap, explicitly shown by the creator on an R171 and described as fitting many Mercedes fuel caps. The design comprises a cap ring, flexible cord, and eyelet. The source used ASA for the ring and hard Shore D56 TPU for the cord and eyelet, while noting that approximately Shore A95 TPU may also work. Install all three parts, verify the ring does not interfere with cap sealing or locking, keep the tether clear of the filler neck and hinge, and replace it if fuel exposure, heat, or repeated flexing causes cracks or loss of retention. No other generation is linked because the creator does not identify one and no exact child-component number was established.

Starter Cable Connector Housing
Two-piece replacement housing for the starter cable connector on a 2006 SLK 350. The creator modeled it after the original housing crumbled, printed it successfully in ABS, and warns that its position under the exhaust manifold exposes it to substantial heat. Use both housing halves, print only in a suitable high-temperature electrical-insulating material, inspect the cable and terminal for heat or corrosion damage before installation, maintain factory routing and insulation clearances, and discontinue use immediately if the print softens, cracks, or allows terminal movement. Fitment is source-backed only for the stated 2006 SLK 350 within R171.

Center-Console Magnetic Phone Mount
Three-file magnetic phone-mount body designed specifically to clip into the R171 center console without glue, drilling, or permanent vehicle modification. The source includes a one-piece model and a split base/top alternative; add a generic magnetic phone pad to the upper surface with adhesive. Creator photographs show the printed mount installed beside the selector in left-hand-drive vehicles. Use only the one-piece file or the two split files as a complete alternative, print in a cabin-temperature-capable material, confirm the mount cannot contact the selector or controls, route charging cables clear of moving controls, and remove it if it loosens or obstructs operation.

10.1-Inch Head-Unit Mounting Bracket Set
Six-piece bracket and spacer set for installing a Hikity 10.1-inch Android double-DIN head unit in a 2005 SLK 350 without drilling the vehicle. The creator replaced an Audio 20 unit, reports that installation was easy, and says the brackets will likely suit SLK 280 variants and the rest of the same R171 generation; no fitment outside R171 is claimed here. The large screen requires removal of the factory cupholders. Print in PETG, ABS, ASA, or another cabin-temperature-capable material rather than PLA, which the creator warns can soften in a hot car. Verify fastener engagement, wiring clearance, screen stability, and unobstructed access to the hazard and Airscarf control panel before driving.

Cup-Holder Tray Charger Adapter
Adapter for mounting a CubeNest PowerCube S1C0 or similar charger to the original cup-holder tray. The creator specifies a 200-series R170 car, printed it in ASA and supplies photographs of the physical adapter loose and installed with a charger. Confirm the tray and charger geometry, use cabin-heat-resistant material, keep controls and sight lines clear, route and fuse any charging cable safely and verify the holder and device cannot detach under braking.

Emergency Roof-Lock Access Cap
Replacement headliner cap for the emergency retractable-roof lock, explicitly identified for 1997–2004 SLK 230 Kompressor cars. The source image shows the physical cap installed; the creator recommends high-temperature PLA or PETG and reports a FILACUBE HT-PLA print survived Texas cabin heat with little distortion. Match the access opening, use cabin-heat-resistant material and confirm the cap stays secure while remaining removable for emergency roof operation.

Dashboard Side Vent
Replacement dashboard side vent explicitly identified for 1997–2004 SLK 230 Kompressor cars. The source photograph shows a physical vent installed in the dashboard; the creator recommends high-temperature PLA or PETG and reports a FILACUBE HT-PLA print survived a Texas summer with very little distortion. Match the side-vent opening and original vane function, use cabin-heat-resistant material and verify secure seating and unrestricted airflow and adjustment.

Rear Wind Deflector
Single-piece rear wind-deflector pattern for CNC or laser cutting, shown in a source composite installed between the roll bars. The creator recommends at least 6 mm clear acrylic and reusable black zip ties. Confirm roll-bar spacing, cabin and retractable-roof clearances, round and polish all edges, use UV- and impact-resistant sheet, secure every tie with trimmed ends away from occupants and verify the panel cannot loosen or obstruct rearward visibility.
Windscreen-Wiper Spindle Nut Cover
Replacement cap for the windscreen-wiper spindle screw on a 1997 SLK 230. Source photographs show the physical print loose, the uncovered spindle and the cap installed. Use UV-, weather- and heat-resistant material, match the spindle and nut dimensions, press on without disturbing wiper-arm torque, preserve full arm and bonnet clearance and verify secure retention through a complete wet-screen sweep.

Door-Sill Retaining Button
Replacement button for the deteriorated rubber retainer on the door-sill/kick-panel trim. The creator states exact SLK 230 fitment and adds a locking feature to keep the print in place; the source supplies one STL and a CAD source image but no physical installation photograph. Print button-top down in tough cabin- and weather-resistant material, compare the panel and body socket, press-fit without forcing brittle trim and confirm the sill panel is fully retained and cannot foul the door.

Right Mirror-Motor Cover
Replacement cover plate for the motor inside the right exterior mirror, designed for model years 1998–2004 after a purchased spare did not fit. The source provides one STL and a CAD source image but no physical fit photograph. The creator warns that PLA breaks easily where the motor-screw heads press into the plate. Restrict use to the right mirror and matching motor, print flat-side down in tough cabin-heat- and weather-resistant material, fit screw heads gently and verify mirror adjustment, retention and full housing clearance.

Armrest Cup Holder
Cup holder with an integral mounting tongue for the centre-armrest compartment. The creator states exact generation fitment and shows the physical print loose and installed, with the tongue pushed beneath the armrest screw. Use cabin-heat-resistant material, avoid damaging the armrest fastener or trim, confirm the lid and selector remain unobstructed and test retention only with a closed cold container before road use.

Sun-Visor Hinge Set
Replacement hinge set for both sun visors, developed from a 2003 car and explicitly stated by the creator for 1998–2004 SLK 230, SLK 320 and SLK 32 AMG models. Source photographs show the visor, original and printed hinges loose, and the completed visor installed. The creator used carbon-fibre HTPLA with 2 mm walls, 30% gyroid infill, supports and post-print annealing. Treat the supplied end-hinge files and combined hinge file as a set, compare every original piece, use tough cabin-heat-resistant material, smooth pivot surfaces and verify each visor holds securely without obstructing vision.
